Lotto now €12,000 for a single winner
The Irish senior team had the opportunity to close the gap on 6 nations leaders, France, and duly delivered a bonus point victory, albeit having given us all palpitations after an error ridden hour. The early red card became decisive later on, and the win was achieved, with England seldom threatening the visitors try line
On Friday last, the under 20 six nations team came from behind to record another comprehensive victory, and now look odds on to achieve the much coveted grand slam at the weekend.
Under 16 boys
On Sunday afternoon 06/03/2022, we travelled to Limerick to take on Shannon in the quarter final of the Munster Bowl competition. The game started brightly for us with us building on some well worked moves and controlled possession however Shannon ran in 2 tries in quick succession to put us on the back foot. Nevertheless, we quickly regained our composure and a strike from the half way line by our fullback Cian Coughlan led to him beating a number of defenders and touching down in the corner. Shannon continued to put us under a lot of pressure for the rest of the game but the boys defended bravely and limited Shannon to 2 late on tries, such was their work rate and refusal to give in. The key feature of this match was the fact that we were playing in the knockout phase of this Munster-wide competition for the 1st time ever, having been so successful in the group stage. The learning and experience gained from taking on one of the biggest clubs in the country was invaluable, and will stand to the team no end. Our next game is away to Fermoy next weekend in the South Munster League.
