Galbally/Mitchelstown notes
Following extensive consultation, it was agreed by both clubs that the adult club members would represent both areas at junior level for the coming season. Both club’s underage will continue as before, with Mitchelstown fielding at under 14, under 16 and at mini club level.
The combined side has had a great start to the season in the Mansergh Cup on Sunday 11/09/2022, having travelled to a wet and windy Carrick on Suir, and dominating in all areas of the pitch, scoring four tries in a comprehensive 28-10 victory.
The good news continues to flow in, as the side returned from Newport on Sunday last in balmy sunshine, winning 28-7 against a young home team whose spirited performance was a credit to all involved. Our thanks to Newport RFC for the after-match refreshments and hospitality.
It was extremely rewarding to see how the team blended so well, and we look forward to the rest of the season. There is a full programme of league fixtures listed on the club website.www.mitchelstownrugby.com

The team has confirmed a fixture at Old Christians on Friday next, 23/09/2022. Best wishes to all for a competitive game.

We are hosting a Club Fun Day at Mitchelstown Leisure Center on Saturday Sept 24th at 11am. All are welcome.
