Galbally/Mitchelstown 6 Kinsale RFC 13

Our Junior team welcomed league leaders Kinsale to Galbally on Sunday last. The high winds and rain made conditions extremely difficult for both sides. We opened the scoring from a long range penalty from Pa Shanahan. Kinsale dominated possession for a spell after this and were rewarded with a maul try in the corner which they failed to convert. We once again got a long range penalty from Pa Shanahan to take a 6-5 lead into half time. Weather conditions deteriorated further in the second half and turned the match into a very stop/start affair. Kinsale kicked a penalty and scored another unconverted try. Our lads battled bravely to the end of the match but unfortunately could not add to the scoreboard. We take a losing bonus point and a lot of positives from the match.
