On last Saturday morning we hosted the amalgamation of Cashel/Clonmel (Two Senior Clubs) in the Munster League at home in Curraghbowen. This was a very even affair with the visitors having a slight upper-hand though there wasn’t much in it. We lost 2 players to injury in the 1st half which disrupted our rhythm though one of those replacements, Jack O’Brien, had an immediate impact when he crashed over after a period of heavy forward-based play. We later followed that up with a really well worked maul from a lineout with Eoin Lynch getting over the line with ball in hand. Both of these were converted by out-half Dan Turley. While the scoreline went against us 14-35 there was very little between the teams in real terms.
Our next fixture is Waterpark away next Saturday.
